The Mulvane Public Library offers free notary services to patrons!
Currently, there are two notaries on staff. Please call ahead to assure the notary is available and bring your state-issued ID. Remember, do not sign any documents prior to meeting with the notary.

- State-issued photo ID
- Any other individuals (with proper ID) who will be signing the document

No, all signatures by all parties must be witnessed by the notary.
According to the State of Kansas Notary Handbooks, "a notary may refuse to perform a notarial act if the notary is not satisfied that the individual executing the record is competent or has the capacity to execute the record or that the individual's signature is knowingly and voluntarily made. Additionally, a notary may refuse to perform a notarial act unless refusal is prohibited by the law of this state or by federal law." Notaries have the right to deny individuals that do not bring necessary materials or cannot prove their identity.
