Video Games: Limit 2 for 1 week (not owned by Mulvane, but borrowable through KanShare)
Reading Ready (Character, Skills, and Storytime): Limit 1 for 3 weeks
Community Explorer Packs: Limit 1 for 1 week
Games and Puzzles: Limit 1 for 1 week
Tonieboxes: Limit 1 for 1 week

Library Account Access
To access your account online, visit our website or catalog. Your “login” is the card number and your “password” is the last four digits of your phone number listed on the account. Note: To access youth library accounts, a parent or guardian must have the juvenile’s card, card number, or the child present. Please contact the Library with any questions or issues accessing your account.
Holds
Items checked out or not yet published/owned may be placed on hold. These holds may be placed in-person, via telephone, or online through the catalog or KanShare Catalog App. Pre-purchased item holds can only be made once the record exists in the catalog, 3 months prior to publication.
Patrons are limited to 30 holds/reservations per card (10 a day). Additionally, patrons may only reserve one Community Explorer Pack or Toniebox at a time. Once the item is available the patron will be notified by their preferred means of communication, which was updated at the time of card registration or renewal. The notification method can be updated at any time. Messages left on answering machines or with family members constitutes notification from the Library. Patrons have 7 days to retrieve their holds/reservations before an item is shelved or offered to the next patron in line. Due to the demand of the Community Explorer Packs, these items will only be held 3 days.
Items on hold cannot be renewed or transferred to another card.
In order to pick up items placed on hold for another person, you must have their Library Card with you.
Fines
Overdue charges are $.25 per day per item (exception Community Explorer backpacks and Tonieboxes).
You must pay fines and fees that are more than $10.00 in order to check out or renew items.
Fees for damaged items are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Youth are not responsible for fines on their family members’ cards, but parents/guardians who sign for the youth’s membership will be held responsible for the minor’s charges.
Youth ages 14-18 may volunteer overdue fines off their cards. Ask for more information at the Library.
Youth under the age of 14 may read down their overdue fines. Ask for more information at the Library.
Library Loot for adults can be used to pay off $1.00 of overdue fines.
Twice a year, the Library offers a Food for Fines program, where patrons can bring in canned food items to pay off overdue fines. Each canned item equals $1.00 off. Ask for more information at the Library.
